Sounds depressing, doesn’t it? What I mean by it is that, especially in the beginning, it feels like you will ALWAYS feel this way and can’t imagine spending the rest of your life in this kind of agony. The promise is meant to bring hope – hope that it will eventually feel different. That you won’t always be crying all day every day. Or thinking non-stop about the events that just transpired. Or be unable to get to sleep or stay asleep. It does change over time…sometimes lots and lots of time.
But it will change. I promise.
